Cute Pics!

I just had to share these:

Watching classic Inspector Gadget.

Advice from McKell: If you can't decide between your fist or your pacifier, you should just suck on both.

Fourth of July

We went to Provo's Freedom Festival and Colonial Days. Kellie met a president, and Mom and Jacob (my brother) dressed up colonial-ish to work in the colonial village.

Zac refused to dress up, but wanted a picture with his niece anyway. Then he dressed her up.

Suzanne and McKell's Florida Vacation

July 6 - 13
My mom and I took McKell to Florida to meet my Grandparents.

While we were at the beach I looked over and 15 feet away from us was a roped off sea turtle nest. Cool.

Congratulations Erin!

My friend from high school, Erin, emailed me a few weeks ago and said "Guess what, I'm getting married." The wedding was in Idaho, but she had an open house here and we got to go see her for a few minutes.

They're both self-proclaimed "Star Wars Geeks" and they proved it by having a Star Wars themed wedding. I wish I could have seen the life-sized R2D2 at their reception in Idaho.

Congratulations Erin and Doug!

Please don't hurt my hamster! Vader MADE him do it!

A Big Day

Saturday, June 27th was a big day for our family. Mike baptized Caitlin and gave McKell her baby blessing.

For those not familiar with our church, kids can be baptized when they are 8 by someone who holds the priesthood (which Michael does). By being baptized Caitlin promised to try to always remember Jesus and to try to be like Him. She also became an official member of our church.

When a baby is born, she (or he) receives a blessing by someone who holds the priesthood and is usually blessed with things like health and protection. Her name is also "given" or announced publicly at that time.

Caitlin's cousin, Jacob was baptized too. Here are some pictures of the big day.

Caitlin the ACTRESS!

Spanish Fork recently had it's annual Youth Arts Festival. The city offered several classes for kids that explored all different aspects of the arts. Caitlin got to take two classes: "Arts and Crafts" and "Youth Theater".

In Arts and Crafts she enjoyed making a pinch pot, kite, tie-dye shirt, origami, a snake pot, and refrigerator magnets.

I am in awe of her theater teachers - in just two weeks they organized 70 kids into an hour long musical production of Castles and Dragons (a King Arthur-ish story).

Friday, June 26th was the showcase night. There were tables set up to show stuff the students had made. That was also the night of the play performances. Cait played a page in the palace of King Arther (played by my brother, Jacob - see him below counseling with Merlin). She also made an appearance as a black cat. She did a great job and worked to overcome some of her shyness. Caitlin's the one in blue in the bottom two pics.
